THE PROJECT

The $395M Al Habtoor Residential Towers development is located in Sheikh Zayed Road, Dubai. It is a mixed-use development calling for the construction of two 74-storey residential towers and a third 40-storey tower, which will together house up to 1,460 apartments. A retail podium will be constructed at the centre.

The client’s requirement was for a supplier who could provide a complete waterproofing basement solution, including all the joints, pile caps and pile head waterproofing. 

 

THE SOLUTION

Fosroc’s Proofex Torchseal 4S membrane was the ideal solution due to its suitability against the local ground conditions, its durability and performance for all the different basement applications in this project and as it is manufactured from premium grade heavily modified bitumen, reinforced with a core of non-woven polyester fabric, its resistance to puncture is excellent and ideal for such a demanding project.
